Little achievement from Malaysia Chabor: Blog post made it to the first search result in Google

Yeah!! I'm happy today! My blog post on "Malaysia Chabor" make it to the first search result in google.

This morning, I was wondering why I have so many views for that quite-normal-song-sharing post. So I tried to google "Malaysia Chabor" (yes, that's the search term) and my blog post is on the top list. First search result! WOW!!

Never in my blogging life I've made such "achievement". It might not be anything to some, or most, bloggers, but I'm very happy with such small "achievement".

This motivates me to keep blogging and inspired me as well, to write another version of Malaysia Chabor. Wait for "Malaysia Chabor TWO" blog post. Will it be a song? A poem? A short story?? You will know it soon. Stay tuned!! XOXO

For One More Day

Last week, I finished reading a book by Mitch Albom - For One More Day. This is my first book of Mitch Albom and I really like this author. Heard about him from friends who read "Tuesdays with Morrie", "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". The story was really inspiring and it should be read by anyone who ever thought of committing suicide.

This book is about mortality -- a person who tried to commit suicide and had the chance to spent one day with his mom, who passed away for decades. The plot is pretty interesting and I would recommend this book to all my readers and friends. This book is quite thin and for people who are lazy to read, just like me, this is readable. =D

How this book inspired me?

1) Appreciate people around us, especially our family members. You might want to chase your dream, but please stop and consider, maybe you should stay for them.

2) Never end your own life. Your parents gave you the opportunity to live. They sacrificed so much for you, the time spent, the love, the money, the tears, the joy, etc. Why would you want to end it because of a small matter? Can your problem be more serious than a life, than all the hard work your family spent on you? NEVER!

3) Listen to stories of people you love. It may not be the same story as what you've imagined, what you've expected.

Enjoy reading the book! I have a copy if you need one. =)

Song to share: Malaysia Chabor by Joyce Chu 四叶草

Few days back, I watched a video about Namewee composing a song on the spot for Joyce Chu (one of the RedPeople). At the end of the video, there's a preview of Joyce Chu's music video for that song. I'm quite interested to watch that video and it was released few hours ago! Woohoo!!

The song is about that famous girl, always being called a korean, trying to tell the whole world that she's from Malaysia. The song title itself tells everything -- Malaysia Chabor (Malaysian Girl).
[Just for your information, just in case you aren't from Malaysia, Chabor is Hokkien, which means Girl.]

I find the melody is cute and it sticks to my brain since I watched Namewee's video few days back. For the singer, she's cute too! Not to say that this is a very amazing song, but it is something cute to share. =D

Enjoy the video!

A-B-C

Yesterday night, I was having a hard time to sleep. There's too many things for me to think at night--> the very sad part of a slightly hyperactive person. Having insomnia is not that bad when I can think of something nice. I want to write this down and share it with my readers and friends/family.

This post is gonna be easy, it's all about A-B-C. When we were young, we were thought A-B-C in this way:
" A for Apple, B for Boy, C for Cat, D for Dog, E for Elephant, F for Fish, G for Girl, H for Horse,.........." You remember your kindergarden rhyme?

As we grow older, we have a different set of A-B-C. In different setting or different role, we think differently. Let me list down a few of my A-B-Cs.

As a girl who like to travel, here's my traveler's A-B-C:
A: Aeroplane       (Fly Fly Fly. How can one travel without flying?)
B: Bus                (Traveler needs to make sure they know how to take bus or other transportation. Save money and you will be able to explore a city's public transportation system)
C: Cash              (How to travel without cash in my pocket?)
D: Diary             (Keep a travel diary if possible.)
E: Europe           (I believe this is every traveler's dreamland)
F: Flip Flop         (You need a pair of flip flop whenever you travel, especially when you stay in backpackers with shared bathroom.)
G: Google           (Google is a very useful tool, where you can search for whatever-you-need-while-traveling)
H: Hotel/Hostel    (Depends on your budget. Book a clean and comfortable accommodation, whenever you go.)
I: Independence   (When you are traveling, you are away from home. You need to be on your own, and be independent.)
J: Jacket              (Bring a jacket while traveling. Weather at other countries are more unpredictable than Malaysia.)
K: Key                (Remember to hold on to your keys, especially your room key and luggage key)
L: Luggage          (Have a special luggage, so that it save your time to search for your luggage and the pick up area)
M: Map               (How to travel without a map? Essential tool!)
N: New Zealand   (Another of my dreamland)
O: Offer               (Always eye for offers - flight/accommodation/restaurant/etc)
P: Phone              (Must bring along your phone while traveling. You need to communicate with your loved one, to let them know that you're safe and to share with them your joy.)
Q: Question          (Always ask questions if you are lost. Locals are kind, but make sure you know how to choose nice people to ask for direction.)
R: Random           (Sometimes, you need to be random to make the trip more exciting)
S: SIM                 (Buy a local SIM card and save some buck. International roaming is always a pain)
T: Travel              (A traveler is addicted to traveling. Travel whenever you can)
U: Universal adaptor (A essential item to bring while you travel)
V: Venice             (I want to go there, and stay for at least a month. XD)
W: World              (The world is too big and too tempting)
X: eXtra                (Bring extra shirt, just in case)
Y: whY                 (Always ask WHY in a new place. WHY this place becomes a tourist spot? Look up for their history and story)
Z: Zyrtec               (Forever travel buddy, for my cold rash)

Life is as easy as A-B-C. What is your version of A-B-C?

The cold never bother be anyway - NOT FROZEN

YEAH!! It's time for me to activate my brain again, after having it "frozen" for almost 6 months. This is a #throwback photo from my Taiwan Trip 2014 in April, taken in Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe. I wrote a blog post about my visit to this cafe in my food and travel blog, please click here to read. =)

It is less than a month to officially start my PRP (Pre-Registration Pharmacist) year in Kedah. Ah well, I still have no idea which hospital that I'll be heading to. *pray hard* Before starting my job as a pharmacist, I found another job, which allows me to work from home and it is something I like too! It is gonna start in a few minutes time, so yeah, wish me luck!

P/S: Should I start a Happy Days Project like what others did? Hmmmm.........

Song to share: Billy Joel -- "She's always a woman to me"

PLAY THE SONG AND READ!

There's one day that I heard a song in the car while listening to Lite FM. I remember the chorus "She can takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants, she's ahead of her time". I tried to remember a line so that I can google when I'm home.

I was like WOW when I googled the song. Lyrics is so... so... inspiring to me. The song is by Billy Joel -- "She's always a woman to me".

But well, do men really like strong woman like this? I really wonder. But I do wish to be that woman in the song. Strong and smart, but being sweet when necessary. =D

~~"Be a lady"~~

Lyrics:
She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child
But she's always a woman to me

She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she'll never believe
And she'll take what you give her as long as it's free
Yeah, she steals like a thief
But she's always a woman to me

[Chorus:]
Oh, she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh, and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

She will promise you more
Than the Garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you
And laugh while you're bleedin'
But she'll bring out the best
And the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself
Cause she's always a woman to me

[Chorus:]
Oh, she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh, and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

She is frequently kind
And she's suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
She's nobody's fool
But she can't be convicted
She's earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
